1. Who We Are
Koruni SAS operates the Koruni language-learning application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our App. Contact: legal@koruni.app
2. Data We Collect
a) Data you provide
- •Account info (email, name) when you sign in with Apple or Google.
b) Data collected automatically
- •Learning progress (lessons completed, streak, SRS scores) — stored locally on your device and, if signed in, synced to our servers.
- •App events (lesson started/completed, feature usage) via PostHog for product analytics. These are pseudonymous.
- •Crash reports via Sentry, which may include device model and OS version but no personally identifying information.
c) Data from third-party services
- •RevenueCat processes subscription purchases on our behalf. We receive a subscription status (active/inactive) and purchase timestamp, but never your full payment details.
3. How We Use Your Data
- •To provide and improve the App experience
- •To sync your learning progress across devices (if signed in)
- •To process subscription payments and verify entitlements
- •To send optional daily reminder push notifications (only if you opt in)
- •To debug crashes and improve stability
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- •Supabase — backend infrastructure and auth (data stored in the EU)
- •RevenueCat — subscription management
- •PostHog — product analytics (EU instance)
- •Sentry — crash reporting
- •Apple / Google — authentication and payment processing (governed by their own privacy policies)
5. Data Retention
- •Local progress data is stored on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data.
- •Account data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at legal@koruni.app.
- •Analytics events are retained for 12 months, then deleted.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- •Access the personal data we hold about you
- •Request correction or deletion of your data
- •Withdraw consent at any time
- •Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us immediately.
8. Push Notifications
We may send you daily reminder notifications if you grant permission. You can withdraw this permission at any time in your device settings or in the Profile tab of the App.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit and encrypted storage for sensitive data. No system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
